Description:
Join us for an engaging online class that focuses on painting a grouping of pansies using ink techniques and throwing in some watercolor as well. This workshop is designed for both beginners and experienced artists looking to expand their skills. Participants will learn about the different types of inks, and methods to achieve vibrant textures and colors.
Throughout the class, we will cover:
An introduction to various ink materials and their properties
Techniques for blending and layering inks to create depth in your artwork
Guidance to building a pansy flower grouping
By the end of the course, you will have completed a pansy that showcases your unique style and understanding of ink application.
If you would rather paint with just watercolors, you can water down you watercolor colors to create an ink like consistency. Just keep in mind they won't be as pigmented as the inks when watered down so you will not achieve the same vibrancy.
Materials:
I suggest a 8x10 or 11x14 sheet. I will be working from an 11x14 watercolor coldpress paper from strathmore vision. Here is the link for 9x12 and the 11x15 pads
Bring your own materials. I suggest: a variety of inks and watercolor paint, watercolor sketchbook/coldpress watercolor paper, mix of round watercolor brushes: #2, #6, cloth or paper towel, 2 cups of water, and artist tape. If using inks here are the ones I will be using CLICK HERE
