Description:
Join me for a lovely evening of painting some watercolor landscape sketches, specifically the desert landscape!
You can paint from life or images for inspiration! You can gather some of your own for inspiration, pick colors and styles you love or follow along as we go through the process. I will send a pinterest board to inspire!
The style we will focus on is wet on wet, which is a looser form of painting and more forgiving and perfect for creating studies. Focusing on observation we will do quick compositional sketching with paint. Watercolor is ideal for working with loose brushstrokes and layered details for fun dreamy blending.
Your summer of creativity is waiting for you. all skill levels are welcome, yes that includes someone who has never touched a watercolor brush to someone who is a professional artist
OPTIONS: Bring your own materials. I suggest: watercolor sketchbook/coldpress watercolor paper, mix of round watercolor brushes: #2, #6, #10, a filament 1/2β watercolor brush, cloth or paper towel, 2 cups of water, and artist tape.
You can also find a curated kit you can purchase I created for the series Here!
The purpose of my workshops is to help you embrace your creative spirit and take creative chances together. In the process I want you to experience something new and have fun. This is why my workshops are open to all skill levels, so whether you have never picked up a paint brush or paint on the regular, I structure my classes to be open to all students.
Rachel graduated with her BFA in Painting and since has taught 1000βs of students how to create beautiful pieces through watercolor. She is a published author of "Watercolor Botanical Garden: A Modern Approach to Painting Bold Flowers, Plants, and Cacti" You can learn all about it and get your copy here
By Purchasing you agree all material provided for the workshop and during the workshop is copyright of Pink Puddle Studio LLC and cannot be distributed and/or resold without permission.
